Founded in 1981, Steel Builders continues to be a family owned and operated business.

As a teenager and into his early twenties the original founder, David Burbidge, completed a steel apprenticeship in his charming hometown of Port Talbot in Wales, UK. During his apprenticeship he started a small company building steel gates and railings for his community out of an abandoned bakery once owned by Anthony Hopkin's father. After immigrating to the United States in 1963 he launched Reliance Seismic which is now known as Steel Builders, INC.
Through the years, almost every one of David's family member has worked for Steel Builders at some point in their life including his wife, children, and grandchildren.
In 2008 David's daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Sean Moore, purchased the company. Gina began working for Steel Builders at a very young age as an office manager. In 2000 Sean began working for Steel Builders as an apprentice. Together they have over 54 years of experience within the steel industry. This knowledge and experience combined with their abilities to problem solve and defy the odds has helped to ensure the success and legacy of Steel Builders Incorporated.
As you walk through their office today, you will meet more than a Husband and Wife team, you will also meet their nephew, their son, and the team of employees who have grown with the company to become essential parts of the Steel Builders Family.

We have used Steel Builders on several of our soft story retrofit projects. They are highly experienced and very professional. All the jobs have been completed in a timely manner and with a high level of workmanship. We highly recommend them if you are in need of a full turnkey steel contractor.

I've been working with Steel Builders since 2007 on a variety of different types of projects from hotels to senior living facilities and more. Their pricing and attention to detail is what sets them apart from other steel contractors on a business level. However they also bring the personal side of the company into the project.
